Passive Sentences

1. Simple Present Tense
To be : is, am, are
Active : Somebody cleans this room.
Passive : This room is cleaned by somebody.

2. Simple Past Tense
To be : was, were
Active : Somebody cleaned this room.
Passive : This room was cleaned by somebody.

3. Present Continuous
To be : is, am, are
Active : Somebody is cleaning this room.
Passive : The room is being cleaned by somebody.

4. Past Continuous
To be : was, were
Active : Somebody was cleaning this room.
Passive : The room was being cleaned by somebody.

5. Present Perfect
To be : been
Active : Somebody has cleaned this room.
Passive : This room has been cleaned by somebody.

6. Modal
To be : be
Active : Somebody will clean this rrom.
Passive : This room will be cleaned by somebody.

Active : Somebody can clean this room.
Passive : This room can be cleaned by somebody.
